  • Onion (diced) – 1
  • Beef broth – 1 cup
  • Garlic (minced) – 3 cloves
  • Tomato paste – 2 tbsp.
  • Worcestershire sauce – 1 tbsp.
  • Dried thyme & rosemary – 1 tbsp. each
  • Smoked paprika – 1 tbsp.
  • Caraway seeds (optional) – 1 tbsp.
  • All-purpose flour – ¼ cup
  • Bay leaves – 2
  • Fresh parsley leaves (chopped) – 2 tbsp.

Method

  1. Pour olive oil into a large cooking pan and place it over low to medium heat.
  2. Take beef in a large bowl, add salt & black pepper, and mix well. Add the meat into the skillet and cook for few minutes until the meat turns brown evenly on all sides.
  3. Take a 6-qt slow cooker and place beef, onions, carrots, garlic, and potatoes. Add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, paprika, rosemary, thyme, bay leaves, and caraway seeds. Stir and combine all the ingredients. Add salt and pepper as per taste.
  4. Now, its time to cook the beef in a slow cooker. If you prefer low heat, you can slow cook it for 7-8 hours, and if you prefer high heat, you can cook it for 3-4 hours.
